Another Successful Harvest Supper!

Dear Parents, Students, and TPVS Staff,

Thank you to each and every person who helped make the 43rd annual Harvest Supper a tremendous success!

To all staff, parents, students, community members, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings, a huge heartfelt thank you! It is a lot of work and many people make sacrifices to do their piece. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed, and we appreciate you.

Many students participated in the preparations for the supper with their teachers this year. The 6th graders cleaned themselves up and donned aprons to help serve our hungry guests, the 5th and 6th graders peeled potatoes, and our children created beautiful artwork that hung on the walls. Thank you, Lisa Kaija, TPVS Art teacher, and thank you to our teachers who worked in the kitchen on the night of the supper!

It’s important to remind everyone: we have only one annual fundraising project. Breathe a sigh of relief – it’s behind us! If you’d like to participate again next year—or for the first time--please let Jody Eaton, Sara Smith, or Sarah Walker know. We need all the help that we can get. It’s takes a full-on team of parents to keep the Harvest Supper going and we certainly aren’t stopping at 43!

This amazing school tradition makes a concrete difference in our children’s education. Last year’s Harvest Supper proceeds funded $20 per student to each classroom teacher for supplies, the skating rink, 26 pairs of ice skates, $200 to each Specials teacher, $600 of fill for the Gaga Pit, Helping Hands Community Baskets, snack cards for children who need a snack, water bottles for each of our students, The Welcome Back Barbeque, and The Yearbook. Wow!

A special thank you to our committee chairs who pull together the community to make sure each task is completed. You are a group of tireless, generous, committed individuals who make this event a pleasure to be involved with. Thank you for making this supper a success year after year.
